Origin Mining Company (“OMC”) is a distinguished copper mining company that owns the open-pit Mineral Park copper and molybdenum mine in Kingman, Arizona. Our mission is to extract copper and molybdenum resources in a sustainable manner while making a positive impact on the local economy by creating high-quality employment. OMC is dedicated to operating with integrity and transparency. We are currently operating hydromet operation and are scheduled to restart the concentrator operations at the Mineral Park Mine and meet the growing global demand for copper. Job Description: We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Mining Manager to lead the mining operations at the Mineral Park Mine. The Mine Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mining activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to environmental standards. This role is located in Kingman, Arizona. Responsibilities : * Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the mining team, optimizing operational efficiency and resource extraction. * Safety Management: Enforce and promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing best practices in mining operations. * Production Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive production plans, considering resource optimization, equipment utilization, and scheduling. * Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage the mining budget, controlling costs while maintaining operational excellence. * Environmental Compliance: Collaborate with environmental teams to ensure mining activities align with sustainability and environmental regulations. * Equipment Maintenanc e: Oversee the maintenance and utilization of mining equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. * Team Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of mining professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. * Community Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with local communities, addressing concerns and ensuring responsible mining practices. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) is a plus. * Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. * In-depth understanding of open-pit mining processes, equipment, and technologies. * ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, driving a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence. * Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and implement effective solutions. * Familiarity with mining regulations and a commitment to sustainable and responsible mining practices. * Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies to optimize mining operations and contribute to the company's overall success. * MSHA training certification or ability to get certification required. Physical Demands: To be eligible for this position, an individual must possess the following requirements to perform the essential job functions: * Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. * Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating information, to management. * Able to lift up to 25 pounds periodically. * Must possess a valid Driver’s license and be able to operate a light vehicle.
